WALTHAM, Mass.-August 14, 2006 - Cape Clear Software, a leading provider of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) solutions to enable Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), has appointed Jeffrey Read as its president and chief operating officer. In this role, Read is responsible for the company's worldwide operations as it continues its aggressive business expansion. Having previously served as Cape Clear's president of international operations, Read will take on his new post as president and COO immediately.

"This is a very exciting time for Cape Clear," said Mr. Read. "Recently recognized as leading the ESB market by the Forrester Group, winning IT Week's ESB Editor's Choice Award, and showing strong growth in every region, Cape Clear is incredibly well-placed. My aim is to make Cape Clear one of the truly great enterprise software companies. I want to see Cape Clear fulfill its potential to radically simplify the complexity and effort required for companies and government organizations alike to rapidly deploy their Service-Oriented Architectures."

A seasoned operations executive, Read spent more than nine years at PeopleSoft driving sales, business development, and marketing in the United States and Europe. He successfully managed major corporate P&Ls, selling to Fortune 500 and SMB accounts, and has hands-on experience managing direct and indirect sales operations, consulting services, product and services marketing, product development, and field marketing.

Read's appointment to president and chief operating officer reinforces findings recently published by Forrester in their June 30, 2006 Forrester Wave™ report on the Enterprise Service Bus market. According to the report: "One of Cape Clear's advantages in the market is the clarity of a single, focused vision from its founder, Annraí O'Toole, who has stayed well aligned with, and even ahead of, industry trends. The company has had success in building out an executive team that can extend and execute this vision."

Annraí O'Toole, Cape Clear's CEO, went on to comment: "I'm delighted to have Jeffrey in this new role at Cape Clear. Jeffrey's proven track record of driving sustained growth in enterprise software companies made him the ideal choice to lead the next phase of Cape Clear's global expansion."
