Wolfgang's Vault Expands Its Lock on All Things Rock With Purchase of Assets From Tom Moffatt Productions
Wolfgang's Vault
[www.wolfgangsvault.com], the world's premier online site for live rock
concert performances and memorabilia, announces its acquisition of
memorabilia and merchandise from Tom Moffatt Productions. Included in the
purchase were all intellectual property and copyrights associated with
these remarkable assets. Memorabilia from the Hawaiian concert promoter's
archive joins the Vault's already enormous live-concert audio and poster
collections.
Tom Moffatt Productions has been Hawaii's premier concert production
company since the late 1950s when the Michigan native made his DJ debut in
Hawaii. Moffatt soon expanded beyond radio into concert promotion and
production. By 1966, Moffatt, then expert in arranging and promoting
concerts throughout the Hawaiian Islands, brought the Rolling Stones to Hawaii, and
there followed a long list of music greats from Bill Haley's Comets, Bob
Marley, Aretha Franklin, Jane's Addiction and the Yardbirds to Ray Charles,
Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Cyndi Lauper and The King, Elvis Presley. Labeled the
Showman of the Pacific in his autobiography of the same name, Moffatt has
amassed a huge archive of memorabilia -- now available, exclusively, at
Wolfgang's Vault.
