Crossfire War - RIYADH WATCH - Eurasia Theatre: Riyadh - Ankara - Tehran/Moscow - Brussels; Saudi Arabia to Sign Military Cooperation Agreement Tuesday in Ankara - Regional Cooperation - West Asia - Balkans - Caucasus
Night Watch: RIYADH - AFP reports that according to the pan-Arab daily Al-Hayat Saudi Arabia King Abdullah will embark on a three day trip to Turkey, the highlight of which will be a military cooperation agreement wth Ankara on Tuesday. The monarch will be accompanied by a 45-member delegation which will be signing six bilateral agreements with Turkey. In addition to the military agreement most will involve protecting investments. [

King Abdullah's visit is at the invitation of Turkey President Ahmet Necdet Sezer. The two heads of state and their delegations will also discuss Lebanon and regional issues. I suspect that means they will be discussing the resumption of fighting in the Balkans, revolving around Kosovo and Islamic groups both capitals and Tehran have been supporting in the northern Caucasus fighting Moscow. Ankara-Riyadh are aware of the security agreement signed in January between Belgrade-Tehran and I assume they also know of recent reports of Serbian self-defence groups arming themselves in preparation for war. Do not be surprised if they are being armed with assistance from Riyadh-Ankara-Tehran, knowing that the Serbs may attack units from NATO/OSCE/EU more than they attack Albanians.
