The Sunday Times of London reported the weapons grade material, essential to nuclear bombs and warheads, was discovered during a routine Geiger counter inspection for radiation. The shipment was headed to the Iranian Persian Gulf port Bandar Abbas and from there it was to be smelted in Kazakhstan and then back to Iran for use in its nuclear weapons program. Bandar Abbas is where Iran's Revolutionary Guards are based.
