Crossfire War - TEHRAN WATCH - Northeast Africa Theatre: Tehran - Mogadishu/Baidoa; Somalia in Chaos After Assassination of Abdallah Deerow Isaq - Riots in Baidoa - Interim Government Collasping - Mysterious Cargo Planes Land in Mogadishu
Night Watch: BAIDOA - Chaos seems to be following the assassination of Abdallah Deerow Isaq the Federal-Constitutional Minister for the Interim government based in Baidoa. The New York Times reported he was assassinated in Baidoa as he was leaving Friday prayers. No one has claimed responsibility which always points to Tehran who is served by the chaos. 1,000 rioters took to the streets of Baidoa armed with sticks and knives in protest. 18 ministers have resigned from the Interim government, who has no real influence outside Baidoa just impotent international recognition that has provided little material support. This was the second shooting of a government minister. [

News also reports that mysterious cargo planes continue to land in Mogadishu airport carrying arms and guarded by units of the Islamic courts militia based in the capital Mogadishu. Kazakhstan's flag has been seen on the aircraft's tail but it could have been chartered by Iran as a way of supporting the radical Islamic government as it consolidates its hold over the country. That is why Tehran had Isaq removed. He may have been one of the few ministers of the interim government taken seriously.
