Night Watch: BEIRUT - The pan-Arab daily Asharq al-Awsat quoted one of its sources, a senior member of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, who said that a lot of the Hezbollah fighters engaging Israel's military were trained to confront a conventional army at four camps in Iran: Tehran, Isfahan, Mashad and Ahvaz. The source said he personally trained Hezbollah's navy commando units. What he said proves that Hezbollah is actually an extesnsion of Iran's military, a forward operating base for Tehran, a military satellite state. [ASHARQALAWSAT]

The officer mentioned that along with Hezbollah's naval commando unit they also have a submarine unit that operates Chinese manufacutred speedboats capable of attacking Israel's navy. And that with assistance from Iranian engineers and technicians along with North Korean experts, who arrived in Beirut disguised as servants for Iran's embassy and its officers, Hezbollah was able to constuct a 17 mile (25km) underground belt with 12 yard openings. Every four openings are connected through an easily accessible passageway.

He mentioned that, in addition to these massive preparations, Iran's Revolutionary Guards constucted special warehouses in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley controlled by four Iranian officers and four Hezbollah members. Additional command and operations rooms are in place around the country. The officer stated Hezbollah has three missile units which include 200 technicians and experts trained in Iran and supervised by a 20-strong committee. I suspect each unit is trained in the firing of each one of the longer range rockets. This is a microcosm of Tehran's own military - missile preparations in Iran.

As crossfirewar.com has stated for two years what Tehran has in mind is more than just the occasional crisis. What they have sent to Hezbollah is just a fraction of what Tehran intends to use (launch) against their main targets, the West-Russia-India. This is why I call Tehran an example of intelligent, ancient evil. This is serious, thorough preparation. Tehran intends to win.
