Crossfire War - TEHRAN WATCH - South Asia Theatre: Tehran - Islamabad/Delhi; Pakistan Major Killed While Infiltrating into Kashmir

Night Watch: ISLAMABAD - In an obvious indication of Islamabad's direct support for Islamic militant groups in Jammu-Kashmir a Pakistan army major was killed, along with two other militants, Wednesday as they attempted to infiltrate along the Line -of-Control (LoC). He was indentified as Major Mohammad Hyder Turki of the 9th Baloch regiment. He was from the Pakistan city of Gujranwala in Pakistan's Punjab province. The incident took place in the Gurez sector of north Kashmir in the Buramulla district. [WEBINDIA]

An Indian army spokesman stated, "The killing of the Pakistan army officer who was a resident of Gujranwala in Pakistan's Punjab has clearly established the role of the Pakistan army in infiltration." As far as I know there has been no official response from Islamabad.

It was last year when Islamabad stated they wanted the issue of Kashmir settled by December 2006. September is the best month for war on the sub-continent since the monsoon season is over by then.
