PlanGraphics to Prepare Aerial Imagery RFP for the City of Reno
PlanGraphics, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: PGRA) has
been selected to prepare an aerial ortho-imagery request for proposals
(RFP) for the City of Reno, Nev. Reno's rapid growth is a significant
contributor to the need for new detailed imagery for the City and
surrounding area. The new imagery will update aerial photography that was
captured in 2004 through a regional effort.
The RFP will cover an area of approximately 400 square miles. In addition
to establishing specifications for the aerial imagery product, the RFP will
require both digital elevation and digital surface models as deliverables,
and LiDAR ("light detection and ranging") will be included as an option for
producing detailed elevation data. The RFP is expected to be released in
sufficient time for imagery acquisition to be accomplished during the
spring 2007 flying season.
