Innovative Surveillance Technology Inc. Hires Glenn Brazil As Director of the National Intelligence Academy

Premier trainer from Federal Law Enforcement Training Center will run National Intelligence Academy

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (EWORLDWIRE) Jun 16, 2006

A member of IST’s executive team, Brazil’s primary responsibility is to oversee and manage law enforcement training for federal, state, county and local agencies and the U.S. military on a worldwide basis.

A retired senior special agent of the U.S. Treasury Department, Brazil served 20 years with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and received numerous awards. He was a representative to the Organized Crime Task Force and participated in Senate Judiciary hearings on organized crime and gangs. He was a certified explosives handler and was detailed to the ATF National Academy where he began his law enforcement training career, serving as the new agent training coordinator. As detail to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), he was a senior instructor and course developer and coordinated the Technical Investigative Equipment Training Program. He transferred to the U.S. Customs Service National Academy where he developed and coordinated the Customs Technical Surveillance School for designated technical agents and the Technical Enforcement Officers School for technicians.

A Jacksonville, Fla. native, Brazil's education includes an associate’s degree from the St. Johns River Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Psychology from Florida State University and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Valdosta State University. He is a charter member of the National Technical Investigators’ Association and the Southeast Technical Investigators’ Association, where he served as training director and president.

Following 9/11, Brazil was one of the annuitants re-hired by the Department of Homeland Security to instruct at the Federal Law enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, Ga, and his assignment to coordinate the Covert Electronic Surveillance Program led him to chair a Curriculum Develop Conference for which he received an award.
