Team Bio-Rad Helps Napa Tour de Cure Surpass Its Million Dollar Goal

Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. (AMEX: BIO) and
(AMEX: BIOb), a multinational manufacturer and distributor of life science
research products and clinical diagnostics, helped raise over $1 million
during the Tour de Cure Napa Valley biking event on May 7 to benefit the
American Diabetes Association.
Nearly 160 Bio-Rad employees, family and friends participated in the Napa
event, serving as riders or volunteers. Tour de Cure is a series of 80
cycling events that take place each year in different locations across the
United States.
This is Bio-Rad's eighth year participating in this event. Team Bio-Rad was
recognized as a top 10 fundraiser in 2004 and 2005 in the Tour's nationwide
"Top 10 Single Site Teams" competition. This year, Team Bio-Rad finished in
the top five fundraising teams at the Napa event.
"Tour de Cure is a great way for companies and individuals across the
country to raise research dollars aimed at improving the lives of those who
suffer from diabetes," said Bio-Rad President Norman Schwartz. "I'd like to
recognize all of the riders and volunteers who make Tour de Cure a success
each year. Your participation really makes a difference."
