Hanley Wood, LLC, the leading
business-to-business media company, announced today the new sales team
responsible for ARCHITECT. Scheduled to debut in October 2006, ARCHITECT's
focus will be on information critical to practicing architects, delivering
information and ideas to inspire their designs, enhance their practice,
expand their business and connect with their peers. Architect will join
the Commercial Group at Hanley Wood Magazines under Group Publisher Patrick
J. Carroll.
"We've assembled a great team to represent this new magazine," says
Carroll. "They are an experienced group with expertise in the building
products category." Russ Ellis will serve as publisher. Reporting to him
will be Michael Gilbert in the Midwest, Nellie Callahan on the East Coast
and Denis Cambruzzi in the West. Canada will be covered by John Magner and
Colleen Curran. Catherine Jones will serve as inside sales manager.
"We're excited about the ARCHITECT launch," says Carroll. "This magazine
is the first of many new publications Hanley Wood will launch and acquire
to serve the explosive growth in non-residential construction."
ARCHITECT magazine will launch with a companion Web site and will be
announced officially at the AIA show in June. The magazine will publish
twice in 2006 and 10 times in 2007.
Joining Hanley Wood as Editor-in-Chief of Architect is Ned Cramer. For the
past four years, Cramer has served as curator of the Chicago Architecture
Foundation. Previously, he spent seven years at Architecture magazine,
holding the title of Executive Editor when he left in 2002. He is a
graduate of Rice University's School of Architecture. Hannah McCann will
serve as managing editor for the new magazine.
