EasyDriver(TM) is an in-vehicle driver training system used to help teach the skill to keep a safe following distance in traffic. EasyDriver(TM) informs the driver about changes in the forward motion of a leading vehicle, while providing cautionary and imminent warnings about the danger of a headway collision.

Human speech and auditory signals permit the student to remain visually focused on the driving task and on the forward motion of traffic. Instructors adjust settings to demonstrate the conditions that can lead to a rear-end crash.

EasyDriver(TM) helps to teach the relationship between speed and headway distance; the "where" and "when" to observe changes in leading vehicle motion and by demonstrating "how" driver, vehicle, and roadway factors can interact to cause a forward motion crash.
