PC Kidz USA Expands Computer Education Classes Into Nebraska

Matt and Stacy Etzelmiller, formerly of Papillion, Nebraska will be the managing owners of PC Kidz of Nebraska, the seventh PC Kidz franchise in the United States.

TYLER, Texas (EWORLDWIRE) May 15, 2006

Matt and Stacy Etzelmiller, formerly of Papillion, Nebraska will be the managing owners of PC Kidz of Nebraska, the seventh PC Kidz franchise in the United States. The new franchise will serve Douglas, Lancaster and Sarpy counties, including the Lincoln and Omaha areas. The company will offer computer education classes to preschool and school age children through public and private preschools, as well as through early education programs.

PC Kidz offers a comprehensive curriculum that focuses on establishing computer literacy and technology skills in children between the ages of two to ten years. This innovative approach not only aligns the curriculum with national technology standards, but presents the lessons with the child’s developmental abilities in mind.

Matt, a pilot for the Nebraska Air National Guard in Lincoln, and Stacy, a former classroom teacher, are excited about the expansion of their business. “We are delighted to bring such an innovative program to Nebraska. Providing children with early technology education not only enhances their motor skill and cognitive development, but gives them a decided advantage over their peers," added Stacy. "By the time our students reach elementary school, they are no longer learning to use technology, but are using technology to learn.”

When asked about the importance of introducing technology to preschoolers, Stacy replies, “Investing in your child’s education is much like investing for your retirement. The earlier you start, the greater potential you have for growth. Computer literacy is a life-skill. This is one of the few programs that can actually enhance your child’s future education, by providing a solid foundation in technology.”

PC Kidz, the brainchild of Steve and Tammy Perry, was formed in 2001 after Tammy, a former elementary school teacher, noticed a void in basic computer skills with her students. The PC Kidz program is currently offered in over 150 educational child care centers within the eight company owned and seven franchised territories in Texas, North Carolina and Nebraska.
