Innovative Surveillance Technology, Inc Hires Former Drug Enforcement Administration Agent Steve Grilli
Innovative Surveillance Technology, Inc., hires Steve Grilli as vice president of service operations and general manager of IST North.

Steve Grilli was hired by IST on January 3, 2006 as vice president of service operations and general manager of IST North. As a member of the IST’s executive team, Grilli’s primary responsibility has been to oversee and manage nationwide service operations from IST’s newest facility in Lorton, Virginia (Washington DC).
Grilli is a retired supervisory special agent with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), having served as a federal agent for 23 years in both South Florida and Washington, D.C., prior to joining the DEA in 1984 Grilli worked as a law enforcement officer in Florida and New York.
Grilli received a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degree from SUNY Albany in 1971. He went on to post graduate work after receiving his Master of Arts degree from Albany State in 1986. While serving as a DEA special agent in the Miami Field Division, Grilli worked on renowned federal investigations and has received numerous awards and commendations for his contributions as a criminal investigator. Particularly noteworthy was his work as the case agent in General Manual Noriega and Medellin Cocaine Cartel investigations among others.
Promoted to group supervisor in 1995, Grilli was later assigned to the Redrum Homicide Group in Miami, Undercover Money Laundering Group 43, and was chief technical operations prior to being transferred to DEA Headquarters, Office of Investigative Technology in September 2002. Retiring from federal service in 2005 as DEA’s audio video surveillance chief, his purview included providing technical support for DEA operations worldwide.
