Espion Gross Sales in the First Quarter up 122% Year Over Year: Grows Sales Team
Email security appliance maker Espion
International, Inc. (OTC: EPLJ) is pleased to announce that gross sales in
the quarter grew by 122% year over year. Gross margins continued to exceed
70%. Sales of the new Interceptor with [MX]Lock Encryption led the sales
increase. The Espion Interceptor offers versatile anti-spam, anti-virus,
and intrusion blocking devices, and now uses advanced encryption technology
to deliver sensitive information securely and confidentially, ensuring
secure transmission of financial records as well as meeting new government
regulations (HIPAA) protecting personal health information.
Mr. Barry Dolan has also joined Espion to lead business development and
manage channel partner sales. Mr. Dolan has over twenty years of experience
building technology sales teams, having first joined Force Computers in
1984, where he had worldwide responsibility for business development for
the organization that included direct sales in the U.S., Germany, the U.K.,
France, Sweden and Japan. After building the sales team to over 120
employees, Mr. Dolan assisted in the sale of Force to Solectron in 1996.
Mr. Dolan then co-founded Channel Access, LLC, which provided a highly
technical sales, marketing and systems integration force for leading
manufacturers in the embedded computer space. Mr. Dolan helped achieve over
$16 million in sales in the Channel Access's first two years while building
relationships with many Value Added Reseller and Channel Partners.
"Our revenue growth shows the market's need for secure, encrypted email,"
said Drew Burdsall, Espion's CEO and Founder. Mr. Burdsall continued,
"This was the first quarter we offered the [MX]Lock with encryption
appliance and the response was outstanding. To now have someone with
Barry's experience helping to build the sales force and work with our
partner, Marketlink Technologies, LLC (www.marketlinktech.com), we are very
optimistic about Espion's immediate growth."
"Espion offers a unique product," stated Barry Dolan, "and they are the
only email gateway company that, using an artificial intelligence 'brain,'
monitors both inbound and outbound message flow. They provide not only a
full suite of email security features, but an outbound filter which is
being applied to HIPAA compliance very effectively, and at a 50% lower cost
than most of their competitors. I am very proud to be a part of this
growing organization, and I am looking forward to taking it to the next
level!"
