HIP Digital Media to Beta Test Itiva's Quantum Transport
EMI Music Canada Video Distribution Gains Better Internet Performance, Reaches Broader Audience
Itiva Digital Media, a breakthrough digital
media delivery company, has struck a deal with Hip Digital to use Itiva's
Quantum Transport(TM) as a test for viewing EMI Music Canada music videos
over the Internet.
According to Itiva's President Michel Billard, this application expands
Quantum Transport testing and proves its value. "We're thrilled by this
relationship with Hip Digital and the new audience they bring. Watching
music videos has become as common as watching sitcoms for a certain market
segment. Our work with Hip Digital will provide another set of data points,
helping us deliver a better product."
Hip Digital has posted EMI Music Canada music videos for public viewing at
the Screening Room section of Itiva's website, www.itiva.com/demo.html.
"Quantum Transport technology is a coup for those of us delivering high
value content over the Internet," said Mark Holden, President of Hip
Digital Media, Inc. "We license and distribute digital music and bring
great content to the public. Itiva's technology cuts our distribution costs
while providing a higher quality product than we've been able to offer.
This is a win/win for the industry, for ISPs, and for media consumers."
Rob Brooks, VP Marketing, EMI, says, "Music is our business. In the current
digital environment, finding newer, faster, better and more engaging ways
to deliver our music content to web-savvy consumers is both exciting and
challenging. This test with Itiva and a few of our artist videos is another
step for us to stay on the leading edge of future technologies, and we are
proud to be a part of it."
