Educational Institutions and Individuals Recognized for Achievements in Live eLearning

Elluminate, Inc., a leading provider of live eLearning and web collaboration solutions for the real-time organization, today announced its Center of Excellence (CoE) program, which highlights best practices and recognizes academic institutions and businesses that are at the leading edge of adopting synchronous pedagogies for teaching, learning, and related business processes. The program also recognizes Elluminate Heroes, individuals or teams who are responsible for their institutions being accepted into the program. Those considered for the Elluminate CoE can include traditional K-12 schools, K-12 virtual schools, community colleges, four-year universities, and corporations.

"We created the Elluminate Center of Excellence to showcase those institutions and individuals who are the best of the best in developing live eLearning programs that show significant benefit to all their constituents," said Maurice Heiblum, President of Elluminate USA, Inc. "Elluminate Live! Academic Edition(TM) enables educators to enhance distance learning and extend the boundaries of the traditional classroom. We are excited by the innovative solutions our winners are implementing at their organizations."

Elluminate Heroes and Centers of Excellence

The Elluminate Center of Excellence program highlights best practices and recognizes academic institutions and corporations that have implemented Elluminate Live! in creative ways to improve classroom or distance learning programs, corporate training, faculty or staff communication and collaboration, or administrative operations. Winners are accepted into the program for a period of one year and must have demonstrated real-world results such as increased student achievement or retention. Elluminate CoEs participate in a web-based community that fosters networks focused on best practices and enhances relations between the organizations.

For 2006, those institutions named to the Elluminate CoE and their respective Elluminate Heroes are:

interactive distance education, even in remote, rural locations.
