Crossfire War - TEHRAN WATCH - Eurasia Theatre: Washington/Tehran; Russian Expert States US Attack on Iran Would Damage But Not Paralyze Iran's Economy
Night Watch: MOSCOW - Russian expert Radzhab Safarov Director of the Modern Iranian Studies Center in Moscow has stated that an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities would damage but not paralyze Iran's economy. He pointed out that Iran possesses at least a six month supply of oil. Safarov also mentioned that one of Iran's countermeasures would be to suspend oil exports to the West which would cause economic crises there.
He did not mention any of Tehran's military responses. Tehran would not be forcing this confrontation if they were not prepared militarily as their recent maneuvers indicated.
