Northrop Grumman Makes $25,000 Donation to Boys and Girls Club of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County

ANNAPOLIS, Md., March 31, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation today announced a $25,000 donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County, Md., to fund a tutoring and counseling room at the organization's new Bates club in Annapolis.

"Northrop Grumman has a longstanding commitment to strengthening the communities where our employees live and work," said Randy Belote, vice president of Corporate & International Communications for Northrop Grumman. "This corporate contribution is another example of that commitment and we are extremely pleased that it will directly support area youth."

Northrop Grumman is Anne Arundel County's largest private employer with approximately 7,500 employees. The company's Electronic Systems sector is headquartered in Linthicum and its Oceanic and Naval Systems business unit is based in Annapolis.

"We are so appreciative of Northrop Grumman's generous contribution as it enables us to provide our children, for the first time, with small-group and one-on-one tutoring and counseling in a private room at our new regional club," said Reggie Broddie, chief professional officer for the Boys and Girls Club of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County. "With partners like Northrop Grumman, we really are opening the door and lighting the way for all Anne Arundel County youth."

The Boys and Girls Club of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County provides a range of important services including tutoring, computer education, sports training, homework help, mentoring and instilling positive values to area youth. The Club helps young people from all backgrounds, with emphasis on at-risk children, to develop the qualities needed to become productive, civic-minded and responsible citizens and leaders.
