Warner Music Group Names Mel Fox, Vice President, Corporate Communications, Warner Music International
Warner Music Group Corp. (NYSE: WMG) today
announced the appointment of Mel Fox as Vice President, Corporate
Communications, Warner Music International (WMI). Based in London, Ms. Fox
will report to Patrick Vien, WMI's Chairman and CEO, and Will Tanous, WMG's
Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications.
Ms. Fox will oversee all aspects of communications for WMI and its
affiliates and licensees operating in more than 50 countries around the
world, including media relations and internal communications.
"With her strong background and communications skills, as well as her deep
knowledge of the media industry, Mel is an ideal candidate to head WMI's
corporate communications department as we grow our presence in key
territories and take full advantage of new and emerging music platforms,"
said Vien.

Most recently, Ms. Fox was Vice President, Communications at MTV Networks,
U.K. and Ireland. At MTV Networks, Ms. Fox managed communication functions
for the company's nine U.K. channels, including corporate and internal
communications, media relations and consumer public relations. In
addition, Ms. Fox was a lead communications and strategy advisor for the
launch of MTV in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.
Ms. Fox previously worked at Consolidated Communications, a London-based
consumer public relations firm. Working with clients including the Walt
Disney Company, Fox oversaw the consumer launch campaigns for all Buena
Vista Home Entertainment live action and animated titles. Between
2000-2001, Fox worked in public relations at Yahoo! U.K. and Ireland. She
earned her B.A. in history (with honors) from Manchester University.
