iPhone2 Announces Caribbean Campaign Through Strategic Partnership With Caribbean Media Group
iPhone2, Inc. (OTC: IPHN) today announced
they have signed a Strategic Distribution Agreement with the Caribbean
Media Group.
iPhone2 is a publicly traded company, which has created a proprietary
video/voice Internet softphone called ImagePhone. The companies will embark
on a comprehensive marketing campaign throughout the English speaking
Caribbean. The Caribbean Media Group reaches large numbers of Caribbean
citizens and expatriates, all of whom are excellent prospects for VoIP
services. CaribbeanNetNews.com receives over 250,000 unique page views per
month. Their publication Cayman Net News is the leading newspaper in the
Cayman Islands. The Caribbean Media Group is a revered source of
Caribbean-related information for decision makers, heads of Government and
private sector leaders throughout the region.
Caribbean consumers have long been outspoken about the disparity between
the rates they are charged by their incumbent phone companies compared to
those of the United States or Europe. VoIP has given these consumers an
alternative to these high-priced monopolies.
iPhone2's entry into the Caribbean market will give consumers a new choice.
The Company's ImagePhone is software based, so consumers do not have to
purchase any hardware to take advantage of iPhone2's rates, which are up to
thirty percent lower than Vonage. In addition to low rates, ImagePhone
users enjoy broadcast quality (30 frames per second) real time video
utilizing MPEG4 technology.
iPhone2 will be marketing their ImagePhone services through a Strategic
Distribution agreement signed in February with Caribbean Media Group, Inc.
In accordance with the agreement, Caribbean Media Group will promote
iPhone2's services in English-speaking Caribbean countries, as well as
other countries with large expatriate Caribbean populations, through their
newspapers, magazines, and other media channels.
"We're delighted to be working with a company as reputable as the Caribbean
Media Group," said Chip Greenberg, iPhone2's President. "We anticipate our
services will be readily embraced in this market," Greenberg added.
Barry Randall, Managing Editor of Caribbean Net News, said, "It's
refreshing to see competition in those areas where consumers have
historically been at the mercy of incumbent monopoly telephone companies."
The companies are targeting the launch of their campaign in April.
