Crossfire War: Thailand a New Destination for Professional Jihadists"

By Willard Payne

Crossfire War - TEHRAN WATCH - Southeast Asia Theatre: Bangkok/Kuala Lumpur - Tehran; "Thailand: A New Destination for Professional Jihadists" - Amir Taheri - Asharq Al Awsat

Night Watch: Bangkok - Amir Taheri is a former editor of one of Tehran's leading newspapers and has been in exile from Iran for more than 20 years. He is author of the seminal work on the Khomeini revolution, The Spirit of Allah, published 20 years ago. It is by far my best source material on Khomeini and the government he and Iran instituted as a result. [asharq alawsat]

According to Mr. Taheri's latest article international Jihad circles, from their network of Mosques, from London to Sydney, are now promoting southern Thailand as their newest destination to pursue their calling. Taheri mentions that their arrival is a "kiss of death" for Muslim movements that are attempting to take over a country or region but he states that they are well funded.

Jihadists of course don't have that kind of money but established Islamic institutions - foundations and governments do. As crossfirewar.com has been saying, southern Thailand is just one of many fronts Islam will explore-invade to see if they can extend their control for the sake of the Jihad's economic agenda by targeting areas that are rich in raw materials.
