Launches Its New Web site That Offers Tips And Solutions For Treating Babies With Excessive Dry Skin

BOLINGBROOK, Ill. (EWORLDWIRE) Mar 3, 2006

PureBaby.com today announced the launch of its new Web site that offers tips and solutions for treating babies with excessive dry skin, including eczema and cradle cap.

New clinical research shows that 60 percent of a baby’s skin may be much drier than it appears. According to the Eczema Institute and the National Institute of Health, approximately 65 percent of all infants and small children will suffer from some form of dry skin or even eczema before the age of five.

Eczema, one of the most common dermatological skin conditions in small children, can be caused by an allergic reaction, or it can also be hereditary. Infants can develop eczema almost immediately following birth. Different factors, including fragrance, moisture, overheating, dust, wool, pets and even plain water can cause eczema flare-ups.

"In March of 1997, after our infant son developed severe cradle cap on his scalp, we found nothing on the market to treat it," said co-founder of PureBaby.com, Theresa Phillips. "Out of sheer desperation, we created our own homemade solution to treat his dry scalp condition -and the Pure Baby product line."

Since its introduction in 1998, parents and babies everywhere have been experiencing dry skin relief from Pure Baby products. All of Pure Baby products are 100 percent fragrance and dye free, which doctors agree is a critical factor in controlling eczema flare-ups.

PureBaby.com offers five different dry skin solutions, Eczema Care, Eczema Bath Therapy, Hair and Scalp Care, Cradle Cap Shampoo and Two-In-One. The products range from $5.99- $12.95.
