A&E's "Rollergirls" Dimensional Magazine Insert Supports Strong Television Series Premiere
Structural Graphics Designs and Delivers Standout Print Advertisement to Promote Network's Original Series Premiere
In designing a standout promotional marketing mix
for its original unscripted drama, "Rollergirls," the A&E Network tapped
Structural Graphics, the leader in high-impact dimensional marketing
solutions, to design and produce an innovative magazine insert to convey
the spirit and action of the series. Thanks in part to the dimensional
creative from Structural Graphics, the premiere of "Rollergirls" resulted
in one of A&E's strongest premieres for adults ages 25-54.
"In considering the promotional marketing for 'Rollergirls,' we really
wanted to include a high-impact print piece that reflects the energy of the
show," said Lori Peterzell, A&E's vice president of advertising and
consumer marketing. "Structural Graphics was a great partner in working
through a variety of options with us, and ultimately designing a piece that
met our marketing objectives."
Structural Graphics' design challenge was to create an insert that provided
lasting impact, with the least amount of production requirements. Creating
an advertisement that reflects the high-action show, Structural Graphics
designed and produced a pop-up magazine insert that when opened, the
"Rollergirls" main characters stand up off the page. The unique pop-up
mechanism for this insert was specifically designed by Structural Graphics
to meet A&E's project requirements.
"Working closely with the A&E team, and in managing the design and
production of the piece, our engineers effectively morphed a flat print
concept into an 'in-your-face' insert that reflects both the action and
flavor of the 'Rollergirls' series," said Ethan Goller, executive vice
president for Structural Graphics. "We're very pleased to work with A&E on
this project, which extends our portfolio of outstanding work in the
entertainment industry."
