HQN Books and Leanne Banks Present the Why You Love Your Shoes Contest

HQN Books, Harlequin's imprint dedicated to publishing mainstream single-title romance novels by the best authors in the field, and Leanne Banks, the USA TODAY bestselling author of "UNDERFOOT," announce "The Leanne Banks Why You Love Your Shoes Contest." The contest calls for entrants -- in 100 words or less -- to explain why their favorite shoes are so special. The winner will receive five pairs of brand-new shoes from Nine West.

Leanne Banks is the USA TODAY bestselling author of more than 20 novels. "UNDERFOOT" introduces the public relations staff at Bellagio, a high-fashion shoe company where the executives know that the way to a woman's heart is through a great pair of shoes. To enter, hand-print (or type) on an 8 1/2" x 11" plain piece of paper, your full name, mailing address, telephone number and e-mail address and send along with a brief explanation (100 words or less) of why your favorite shoes are so special to you, to "The Leanne Banks Why You Love Your Shoes Contest 20603 Entry," 233 Broadway, Suite 1001, New York, NY, U.S.A. 10279. For eligibility, all entries must be postmarked by April 14, 2006 and received by April 21, 2006. Limit one submission per person. Contest is open only to legal residents of the U.S. and Canada (except Quebec) who have reached the age of majority in their state, province or territory of residence.

One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive five (5) pairs of Nine West shoes, as selected by a representative of Nine West. Approximate total retail value of all shoes is US $500.00.

The winning entry will be selected by a panel of judges consisting of members of the Harlequin editorial, marketing and public relations staff, based on the originality of the submission and the quality of writing. The winner will be determined no later than May 15, 2006.
