Ryan Black's Annual Oscars Lounge Opens With Celebrity Fashion Runway Show Benefiting Dream Foundation
Red Carpet 2006, the annual Oscars style
lounge produced by Ryan Black every year, kicks off March 1st with a red
carpet party and fashion show called Icon. Hosted by Joely Fisher from
"Desperate Housewives," the Icon event features haute couture designs on
stars like Vivica Fox, and marks the opening of the 4-day lounge where
celebrities, Oscars nominees and presenters rendezvous and luxuriate.
Over the course of March 1-4th, the elegant lounge attracts stars like
Jamie Foxx, Shaun Toub, Goldie Hahn, Mischa Barton, Matt Lanter and Sienna
Miller. The value of gifts celebrities receive inside registers over
$25,000 of products and services from Lily, Richard Tyler, Sun FX Tanning,
Joe Blasco, Meyers Watches, Aquanautic Watches, Ole Henriksen, Peroni,
Drambuie, Margarita King, Havaianas, Vosges Chocolate, Rene Furterer,
Legends' belt buckles, Beverly Feldman shoes, David Galan handbags and much
more.
On opening night, the Icon Award goes to recognize an artist in the spirit
and glamour of legendary Hollywood. Of honoring Greg Gorman with an Icon
Award, Ryan Black said, "I wanted to honor someone who had held true to
their artistic integrity in the glamorous sense of true Hollywood."
The Icon opening night benefits the Dream Foundation, the first national
organization to fulfill wishes for terminally ill adults. A live and silent
auction on behalf of the charity includes items valued over $20,000.
Taking place at this historically significant Hollywood landmark, Scandia,
Red Carpet '06's stylish setting, generous brand partners, and world class
guests, redefine elegance, grace and sophistication -- proving again to be
a central force in buzz surrounding Oscars activities.
