FGS "Dream Team" Delivers the Goods for America's Law Enforcement Community
When it's time to create a state-of-the-art 3D
facial imagery software that will help cops catch the bad guys, you need a
solid network of research and development specialists to get the job done.
Meet the FacePrint Global Solutions (FGS) (OTC BB: FCPG) "dream team" of
experts -- a group of savvy, award-winning software wizards who have a
proven track record when it comes to delivering the high-tech goods for
America's frontline cops.
The multidisciplinary R & D team at FGS that has been finalizing EZ-FACE,
the world's first Internet-access law enforcement-dedicated composite
picture software, is the same group that developed another well known
crime-fighting tool back in 1998. That software, known as FACES, The
Ultimate Composite Picture, went on to be used by over 150,000 police and
forensic specialists around the world, helping nab more than 500 criminals.
If police officers enjoyed using FACES, they will be thrilled with EZ-FACE,
which encompasses all that the new millennium's cutting-edge technology has
to offer. In fact, cops who have seen the advanced copy of EZ-FACE are
already singing its praises.
"If cops love EZ-FACE, it's because of its simplicity and because it's a
stunning software," said Pierre Cote, President and CEO of FGS. "We are
proud to have assembled such a talented group of R & D people at FGS. This
is definitely a dream team of the highest caliber."
The FGS R & D team has an extensive list of national and international
clients, including the Air National Guard, Johns Hopkins University,
Schering, the U.S. Coast Guard, Air France, Alumax, Bombardier,
Westinghouse Electric, Sears Heating and Cooling, Johnstone Supply, Apogee,
Allergan/Botox, the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, Axon Libraria, Danone,
Reader's Digest, Thomson, Simon & Schuster (Viacom), Ubisoft and
Infogrames.
Renaud Nadeau, Vice-President of FGS's Research and Development division,
oversees a group that has created more than 200 products and won more than
100 awards, both in North America and abroad. Nadeau himself is a seasoned
veteran in the field, with more than 25 years' experience.
The following is a list of recent awards that the group has won:
-- 2004 American Association of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (AAMVM) PACE
award, regional category;
-- Media & Methods Magazine 2003 Awards Portfolio, Multimedia Authoring
category;
-- 2003 edition of Parents' Choice Awards, Prize for Educational
Excellence, ICEM;
-- 2002-2003 Best Educational Software Award, Early Learning category 9th
Annual Best Educational Software Awards, ComputED Gazette;
-- 2001-2002 Best Educational Software Award, Multimedia category, 8th
Annual Best Educational Software Awards, ComputED Gazette;
-- 2000 Best Bet Award, Canadian Toy Testing Council;
-- Recommendation by California Instructional Technology Clearinghouse,
2000;
-- International Association For Media in Science (IAMS) Scientific
Multimedia Prize, 2000.
"The team has the expertise to deal with technical integration requirements
across multiple programming architectures and operating environments," said
Nadeau.
Nadeau said the group has built its own development system known as
"Prisme," a technology which provides significantly more flexible product
deployment options, shorter development cycles and increased ability to
build low-cost customized solutions for varying distribution channel and
end user needs.
"Among other things, it offers a graphic object editor for the creation of
customized interfaces and multimedia programming, advanced debugging tools,
and efficient project management tools that allow task synchronization and
parallel development in a modular framework," said Nadeau.
EZ-FACE is currently in its final phase of development, and is set to
undergo Beta testing and public endorsement by several top police
departments across the United States.
