Reader Requests Lead NewsBlaze To Introduce Cartoons

FOLSOM, Calif. (EWORLDWIRE) Feb 7, 2006

NewsBlaze.com real-time news introduces an editorial cartoon on its front page and a cartoon archive. In addition, a series of new quirky cartoons will be featured in the Cartoon Strips category.

NewsBlaze is pleased to bring two cartoonists to its readers as it responds to feedback. The cartoon style matches NewsBlaze's outlook - current, whimsical, sometimes showcasing politics, but not polarized.

Gary Varvel has been the editorial cartoonist for The IndyStar since 1994 and the chief artist for The Indianapolis News for 16 years before that. His editorial cartoons are often, but not always, slightly right of center.

Ian Stacey cartoon strips are whimsical, sometimes wild and have appeared in street newspapers including New York's Big News and Boston's Spare Change, plus several magazines including, Wonderlust, The Layabout, The Journal of Silly and The Edge.

NewsBlaze welcomes inquiries from journalists, book reviewers, software reviewers, bloggers and cartoonists.
