Patrol Finds Bomb-Making Cell North of Baghdad
TAJI, Iraq - Responding to a tip from an Iraqi citizen, soldiers from 2nd Brigade, 9th Iraqi Army Division and Multi-National Division - Baghdad Soldiers found a bomb making cell the afternoon of Feb. 4 north of Baghdad.
The Iraqi unit, supported by the 7th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, conducted a search of a house and found three rifles, one pistol and bomb-making materials including circuit boards, spools of copper and aluminum wire, soldering irons and triggering devices.
Soldiers also detained seven suspected terrorists.
The incident is under investigation.
