Gubernatorial Candidate Roger Alan Hoover Moves Campaign Headquarters to Dunedin, Florida
FOUNTAIN, Fla. (EWORLDWIRE) Feb 4, 2006
Gubernatorial candidate Roger Alan Hoover (D) formerly of Fountain, Florida, moved his campaign headquarters to Dunedin, Florida over the past weekend. Hoover, a long time resident of Dunedin had moved to Fountain to expand his business, a plastic bag manufacturing company.
The move to the panhandle of Florida was very good for the business but along the way Hoover decided to run for the office of Governor of Florida. "You might say politics will be the 'second act' of my life," Hoover said. He has put the business into hibernation but is very confident that it will be at least 14 years before he could even look at bringing the business out of hibernation.
"After 14 years of government service, I would like to start a horse ranch for kids named 'The King’s Ranch' in the rolling hills of the panhandle of Florida, much like the one operated by Don Imus, the famous radio show and MSNBC television personality. Don and Diedre Imus have done many things in their lives, but I think the ranch in New Mexico is the greatest," Hoover remarked.
Hoover believes he may be one of the few executives that are running for the highest executive branch position in Florida. Most of the other candidates for the executive office of Governor are from the legislative or judicial branch of our state government. "I would think that it would be a very difficult transition from one branch of government to another," Hoover stated.
"I have over 30 years of executive experience. When it comes to running a state as significant as Florida, that experience could make all the difference in the world," Hoover concluded.
The move of the campaign headquarters puts Hoover closer to his deputy treasurer Scott Yeckinevich and his communications director, David Gauchman. Yeckinevich owns a personal training company that operates in World Gym of Palm Harbor, Florida, and Gauchman owns a clothing store in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Yeckinevich has been the personal trainer for David Wells, pitcher for the Boston Red Sox. Yeckinevich prepared Wells for some of his best seasons. "I’m going to get the future governor of Florida ready for his world series," Yeckinevich promised. “No more peanut butter and banana sandwiches,” he emphatically stated.
Hoover will release his Dunedin address as soon as he qualifies for a post office box with the United States Postal Service.
