Bloodhound Search Technologies to Introduce Personally Customizable Search Portals

SUGAR LAND, Texas, Feb. 3, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Bloodhound Search Technologies, Inc. announced today that the company has the company has contracted with the developer of its Strategic Monitoring System (SIMS) to create a next-generation search technology - a search engine that can be customized by the user. The company believes that this new technology, when fully developed, could represent a more powerful "industrial strength alternative" to current search engines such as Google.

"Instead of having to waste time searching for news and other important information on the Internet, our customized SIMS portals search and retrieve exactly the information you and/or your company are interested in," says David Campbell, the Chief Executive Officer of Bloodhound Search Technologies.

Bloodhound's SIMS portals are built according to client-supplied strategic information, such as keywords, press releases, industry descriptions or business plans. A customized SIMS portal can continuously monitor over 10,000 news sources or web sites. It scans the relevant information sources 24 hours a day, and provides important news about competitors, industry, business opportunities, significant industry events, or any other news of strategic importance to the clients. After retrieving the relevant information, SIMS automatically organizes it on a personal web portal page that looks like an online news website.

"The second generation technology that we are now developing, would allow the user to create personalized search engines. The user could simply teach the Bloodhound-powered search engine what to look for. He could train his "bloodhounds" to report back to him on his favorite sports teams, establish a portal that tracks new gourmet recipes, follows soap operas, local events or the arts - literally anything he can think of. Our vision is that of a world where people would use traditional search engines like Google for occasional, one-time keyword searches, but rely on Bloodhound's advanced capabilities for serious, professional-grade searches," states Campbell.

"Our current revenue potential is limited by the number of customized portals we can build for our clients. This new technology would significantly change or revenue model. For example, Bloodhound could establish revenue-sharing ventures with other web portals, such as online brokerage firms. For a small monthly fee, they could allow their users to create Bloodhound-power personal financial portals that would search for relevant on the stock they own or are considering or any particular industries they are interested in. Bloodhound could also team up with one of the large portals such as AOL or MSN, which could then allow their clients to set-up Bloodhound-powered search sites for free, thereby challenging Google's position as the leading search portal," envisions Campbell.

Bloodhound Search Technologies believes it can complete the development of this new customizable search engine technology by the end of 2006.
