Frontline Named Worldwide Distributor for Codenomicon's New Bluetooth Robustness Tester
Robust Products Will Lead to the Advancement of Bluetooth Technology
Codenomicon, a leading
vendor of software testing tools and Frontline®, maker of the only v2.0 +
EDR Bluetooth® protocol analyzer, announced today that Codenomicon has
selected Frontline as the worldwide distributor and support center for
Codenomicon's new Bluetooth robustness test tool. Robustness testing sends
malformed data to uncover hard to find implementation flaws.
"Exercising a product to uncover bugs that are often not found using
traditional testing techniques is an important step in the process of
developing heartier Bluetooth products and helps ensure the customer will
get a quality product," said Eric Kaplan, founder, Frontline. "Our FTS4BT
Bluetooth protocol analyzer and Codenomicon's robustness tester will allow
developers and test engineers to simulate and analyze how a product might
react in an RF-unfriendly communications environment or when attacked by
malicious hackers attempting to find security holes."
"It was an easy decision to select Frontline as our distributor for the
Bluetooth robustness testing tool," stated Isaac Sundarajan, CEO of
Codenomicon. "With their Bluetooth protocol analyzer success and
Codenomicon's unique Bluetooth robustness testing tool, we can provide a
more complete debugging and test solution to our security conscious
Bluetooth customers. Codenomicon's robustness tester is the only Bluetooth
tester on the market that provides a way to systematically and proactively
identify flaws."
Performing robustness testing early in the product development cycle
exposes bugs that were traditionally found much closer to release time;
even worse, sometimes these bugs are found after a product has been
released. This early aggressive testing may shorten the time it takes to
get a product to market and can eliminate the need for costly updates of
products already in the hands of customers.
