New and Improved Just For Men(R) Haircolor Targets the Gray Better Than Ever

Gold-Standard in Men's Haircolor Restages With New Formulas, Features and Packaging

The world's most trusted brand of men's haircolor is getting a makeover. Combe Incorporated is restaging Just for Men® Haircolor, the men's haircolor market leader, with new shades, formulas and features developed to restore men's natural haircolor and help them look as good as they feel. The new line of Just For Men Haircolor products will be available on retailers' shelves in February.

"Graying men trust Just For Men Haircolor because the product targets only the gray hair," says Michael Wendroff, vice president of men's grooming at Combe. "While we're not changing the key attributes of Just for Men Haircolor, this improved version of our gold-standard haircolor better meets the needs of our consumers."

Based on real-world feedback, the maker of Just For Men Haircolor is introducing three new color shades and a new and improved no-drip, True Color Formula that targets only the gray hair, replacing it with subtle tones of one's natural haircolor, for the most natural look ever. Additionally, a new ergonomically designed applicator bottle, an easy-open applicator and formfitting gloves will make the coloring process easier. New box-top color swatches will help men find the best color match.

"Graying hair is one of the most visible, yet fixable, appearance detractors," Wendroff adds. "Men increasingly believe their physical appearance -- particularly their graying hair -- doesn't reflect how youthful and energetic they feel and act."

Along with enhancements to Just For Men Haircolor, Combe has made several improvements to its Just for Men® Brush-In Color Gel For Mustache, Beard and Sideburns products, including a new formula with improved gray coverage and a razor-shaped brush applicator.

Just For Men Haircolor is available at retailers for about $8.

It's Not Just Vanity

There's more to men, of course, than the color of their hair. But haircolor is a significant factor in how men are perceived by women and in the workplace.

According to the Just For Men Haircolor "Great Dating" survey, hair and good grooming are major contributors to the dating success of men ages 30-54. When shown photos of the same man with and without gray hair, the man without gray hair was viewed as more successful in the dating game in at least four-of-five cases. More than two-thirds of unmarried women prefer to date a man without gray hair, the survey found.

Additionally, research indicates that appearance matters when it comes to success in the workplace and job market. A Just For Men Haircolor "Strategies for Job Success" survey of professional career advisors found that nearly 70 percent said appearance affects salary, and looking younger can help men's career advancement and promotion. Nearly 65 percent of respondents reported that at least one male client had lost out in a job hunt because he looked too old.

"Graying hair is widely regarded as the No. 1 sign of aging," says Wendroff. "With twice as many men using men's haircolor today than 10 years ago, eliminating gray hair has proven to be a preferred method of making men look more attractive and youthful."
