Organizing Industry Leaders Honored at Los Angeles Awards Gala
The nominees have been announced for the
2006 Los Angeles Organizing Awards, to be held at Maggiano's at the Grove
in Los Angeles, on January 30, 2006. "Those honored with a nomination
include authors, trainers, retailers, broadcasters and individuals who
define standards for home and business productivity," states Chris McKenry,
president of the National Association of Professional Organizers-Los
Angeles Chapter (NAPO-LA), event sponsor.
In addition, the 2006 Los Angeles Organizing Awards will also honor the
individual achievements of LA's hottest Organizing Experts as well as the
Chapter's participation in January's Get Organized Month activities. Many
nominees have confirmed their attendance at the event, and a complete list
of nominees and categories is listed below.
Nominees were cast last November through a successful public and membership
vote through the www.napola.org website. A total of 11 categories were
created, with the first two categories (*) voted on by the public, and the
remaining nominees chosen by the chapter membership.

Three additional chapter awards will be presented at the January 30th
event: The Raising the Bar Award recognizes the board member who went
above the call of duty and the Volunteer of the Year Award to the chapter
member with an exemplary record of service. The final award is the
prestigious Leading Edge Award, given in recognition to a NAPO-LA member
whose actions and efforts elevate the quality or profile of professional
organizers.
All fourteen winners will be announced at the Awards Gala, to be hosted by
master of ceremonies Dave Linden. Festivities begin with a reception
honoring nominees & silent auction at 6 pm followed by a four-course dinner
at 7 pm. The evening will include a multi-media presentation highlighting
the accomplishments of NAPO-LA. Tickets are $75 per person and may be
purchased online at www.napola.org through January 25, and the public is
invited.

includes over 100 organizing consultants, speakers, authors and
