SilverBlaze Solutions Winner Of IBM PartnerWorld 2006 Beacon Award

Prominent e-business Consulting Firm Wins for Best Regional Consultant and System Integrator On Demand Business Solution - Americas

TORONTO (EWORLDWIRE) Jan 18, 2006

IBM today announced that SilverBlaze Solutions is among the winners of the coveted and widely recognized IBM PartnerWorld Beacon Award,* which pays tribute to IBM Business Partners who set standards of business excellence, ingenuity and customer satisfaction, using IBM technologies.

The award was for the SilverBlaze CAPRICORN e-business suite, an IBM WebSphere* and DB2*-based solution that allows companies to quickly deploy and securely manage online ordering and inquiries, web content management and other value-add customer services.

"We are excited and honored to have won such an esteemed award," said David Harty, Director of Sales and Marketing at SilverBlaze Solutions. "It is a tribute to our customers, IBM and the SilverBlaze team."

The Beacon Award nomination was based on a CAPRICORN implementation at PowerStream Inc., an electricity distribution company that provides service to more than 200,000 residential and business customers in Ontario, Canada.

PowerStream uses CAPRICORN to deliver a number of customer self-service features, including online access to account history, billing information and analysis of consumption statistics. Their site also publishes comprehensive information on energy conservation and other power related topics. Tight integration to core business applications has improved the availability of information to customers, alleviating demands on customer service personnel.

The solution resides on an IBM iSeries server running IBM WebSphere and DB2 middleware software, provided and hosted by Mid-Range Computer Group, an IBM Premier Business Partner that delivers high availability and Internet hosting services.
