Barnabus Energy Announces Suncone Progress Is on Schedule

Barnabus Energy, Inc. (OTC BB: BBSE) today announced progress on the engineering of Suncone, a potentially game-changing solar concentrating technology.

Following recent meetings with HYTEC Engineering of Los Alamos, New Mexico, Dr. Mel Prueitt, Suncone inventor, confirmed that the development project was on schedule, and that the Company hoped to complete the working prototype by January 31st.

In a short four months, the engineering team, led by project manager Riney Bennett, has quickly established the geometric configuration of the cone, and determined the materials for the working prototype, including the glass-encased zirconium rod that will serve as the energy collection point. At this time, the Company reports that the Suncone frame is complete, the sun tracker assembled and tested, and the control software programmed. The glass target rods are fabricated and ready for installation. When assembled, water will flow through the rods where it is heated to several hundred degrees Celsius, then is pumped to an external turbine for electrical power generation. Upon completion of the first Suncone, the Company plans to further test and optimize a variety of design options focused on advancing the rapid development of a commercially viable product.

Barnabus has also begun development work on a flash distillation system that could utilize the excess steam from the system and turn it directly into potable water. This system would eliminate the need for expensive, maintenance intensive reverse osmosis filters, making it a more competitive water purification technology that could be installed worldwide.

Dr. Prueitt said, "We are very pleased with the level of commitment by HYTEC, and our other vendors. They did beautiful machining work on the Suncone components." The Company expects to have a commercial demonstration project up and running no later than June of 2006. "Once commercialized, the potential global market applications of Suncone are spectacular," stated David Saltman, CEO.
