Crossfire War: North Central/Northeast Africa Theatre; N'djamena/Khartoum - Chad Announces State of War Exists Between Chad and Sudan - Attack on Adre by Chadian Rebels Supported by Khartoum
Night Watch: N'DJAMENA/ABUJA - Due to an attack on the Chad border town of Adre on Sunday by Chadian rebels that killed 100 people, Chad announced that a state of war existed between Chad and Sudan. [
Bangkok Post]
Khartoum supports the rebels in an attempt to worsen the situation for refugees from the Darfur region of western Sudan to keep them from organizing into an effective opposition. Khartoum has also enabled militias from Sudan to engage in attacks on Chad's territory.
Chad has now become another front the Allies can use to strike Khartoum, a government extremely close to the Islamic Axis of Tehran-Riyadh. With the Jihad's economic priorities the oil in southern Sudan is the reason for the support Khartoum receives from Islamic capitals. Anything done to weaken Khartoum weakens Tehran.
