Ahora LLC Engages Endavo to Launch Spanish Language Broadband TV
Endavo Media and Communications, Inc.
(OTC BB: EDVO) announced today that it has entered into a Master Services
Agreement with Ahora LLC to support the launch of several of Ahora's
Spanish language broadband video service offerings.
Under the terms of the agreement, Endavo will provide digital content
delivery and management services supporting the launch of "AhoraTV."
AhoraTV will initially offer six channels of full screen, DVD-quality
Spanish language programming to Microsoft Media Center PC and standard PC
users. The Company plans to aggressively add new channels to the AhoraTV
lineup throughout 2006 to become a leading provider of Spanish language
programming from around the world. The AhoraTV platform is currently being
tested and expected to launch in January 2006.
"We selected Endavo because they provided us with the tools to offer full
screen, DVD-quality Spanish language video programs to broadband enabled
users through their PC or Media Center PC," said Luigi De Angela, President
of Ahora LLC. "Working closely with Endavo over the next few months, we
expect to meet our overall goal of delivering more than 100 Spanish
language channels over the AhoraTV platform by the end of 2006."
AhoraTV channels will be powered by Endavo's EnGage platform and represents
the debut of this new broadband TV solution. Although the service interface
will function on a standard web-enabled PC, one of the most important
benefits of the EnGage solution for Ahora is that it seamlessly enables any
Microsoft Media Center PC owner to easily access AhoraTV. A simple download
of the 'plug-in' from the AhoraTV website will provide Media Center users
with everything needed to easily navigate and view AhoraTV channels on
their Media Center PC or other enabled devices. With Media Center Extender,
a user can access content residing on a networked Media Center PC using the
remote control to navigate the programs residing on the networked Media
Center PC and view them on their television set. Microsoft recently
reported that more than 4 million Media Center PCs have been sold in the
U.S. and that Media Center PCs accounted for 43% of all desktop personal
computers sold in the U.S. retail market.
"AhoraTV represents the first of many Spanish language service offerings
that we plan to help launch in the coming year. Once the AhoraTV service is
fully deployed and operational, we will be able to offer Spanish language
content owners the option of establishing its own service with EnGage or
simply becoming part of the established and branded AhoraTV service,"
stated Jorge Tomassello, VP of Latin Content for Endavo.
"Launching our first EnGage customer, and one with the potential of Ahora
LLC, is an important milestone for Endavo," said Paul D Hamm, Endavo CEO.
"As the AhoraTV service is promoted to the millions of broadband enabled
users that have a thirst for on-demand Spanish language programs, Endavo
and Ahora LLC will quickly gain a foothold and build a sustainable business
in a very important niche market."
Ahora LLC also plans the launch of three web-based communities using
Endavo's EnHance platform: Ahora Musica (music), Ahora Novelas (soap
operas), and Ahora Noticias (news). Registered users will receive a steady
flow of desired programming, delivered in DVD-quality to their PCs or other
web-enabled devices.
