Heralds SmartSMS(TM) Text Services as the Newest Media for Political Action and Other Causes; K-DAY 93.5 FM Will Provide Hourly Updates

Cell Phone Text Messaging will be used to help save the life of death row inmate, Stanley "Tookie" Williams, scheduled to be executed on December 13th, 2005. Fab Finger Media Group, enabled by veteran Premium SMS provider SmartSMS Corp (OTC: SRSM) (www.smartsmscorp.com), has set up the "Text 4 Tookie" campaign to allow supporters to petition California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to commute the death sentence to permanent life imprisonment via their cell phones using Premium SMS Services.

The "Text 4 Tookie" campaign begins by reaching out through K-DAY (93.5 FM), the premier Hip Hop radio station based in Los Angeles.

"Fab Finger Media Group's hopes are that ultimately the competition will follow our lead," says CEO, Wil Weir. "With the convergent relationship between the entertainment industry and premium text messaging, use is at an all-time high. This is an excellent opportunity not only to get the information to the people, but also to hear what the people have to say. I can't think of a more practical and immediate way to do this than text messaging."

To cast a petition, Tookie supporters simply enter the word "TOOKIE" on the message page on their cell phones and "Send To" 76278, the SmartSMS(TM) short code phone number. Then wait for the response and follow the instructions. The messages are received and daily petition updates will be forwarded to Governor Schwarzenegger. Each text return costs 39 cents, close to the price of a postage stamp, and is automatically billed to the next phone bill.

"This takes cell phone text messaging beyond brand building and will soon allow peoples' voices to be heard on all manner of community and social causes," continued Mr. Weir. "Most importantly, a cell phone text petition is considerably more fraud proof than a signature petition. That's because each mobile phone text message is identified with an independent IP address for immediate identification."

SmartSMS(TM) technology has been used successfully in over 500 campaigns worldwide. Starting with the Text 4 Tookie Campaign, Fab Finger Media Group plans to utilize the technology for all manner of social and civic causes. "Instead of limiting cell phone ancillary uses to brand building, ring tones, wallpaper, photo swapping, etc.," Mr. Weir concluded, "we are going to give people an entirely new approach to provide their opinions on the issues they feel passionate about."
