False Rumours Circulating About Widespread Attacks in Ramadi
There are rumors circulating about widespread attacks in Ramadi.
As of 2 p.m. there were no signs of any significant insurgent activity anywhere in the city. At 9:30 am an RPG was fired at a joint US-Iraqi observation post which resulted in no damages or casualties. There have been no other attacks.
This may be a sign of how desperate insurgents have become, using the restored services to spread rumours.
In a story published earlier this week, Telecommunications Restored in al Anbar, it was reported that Insurgents cut Al Anbar's electronic ties to the globe nearly two months ago but telephone, television and internet service was restored by the collaborative efforts of provincial government telecommunication officials and Coalition Forces.
