Crossfire War: Tehran Calling - Shi'ite Mosques Attacked by Suicide Bombers
By Willard Payne
Night Watch: KHANAQIN - In an attack that could signal Iran's involvement in the war in Iraq or at least enable Tehran to call for regional cooperation in the removal of the occupation due to its inability to provide security, two Shi'ite mosques were attacked in the Kurdish town of Khanaqin, 90 miles northeast of Baghdad and right on Iran's border.
This serves the purpose of the Council of Guardians in their effort to cause chaos in sensitive areas like this town. On Iran's border, Kurdish and also Shi'ite. All three elements are now further inflamed with more reasons to request, even demand that not only the occupation be removed forcefully but to also insist on regional cooperation to stablilze the country.
Tehran is poised to answer.
