Optigenex's Prometheon Labs Rolls Out New Product Avatar 80 With AC-110 in New York Metro Area

NEW YORK, Nov. 16, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Prometheon Labs LLC, a joint venture company between Optigenex Inc. and Prometheon Holding, LLC, announced the availability of its anti-inflammatory product Avatar 8(tm) with AC-11(r) in seven stores in New York City, Queens and Nassau County. Avatar 8(tm) with AC-11(r) is an all-natural alternative to treatment regimens commonly used to treat pain and discomfort associated with inflammation.

AC-11(r), the active ingredient in Avatar 8(tm) with AC-11(r), is an extract from the bark of Uncaria tomentosa, a plant indigenous to the Amazon rainforest. Optigenex has developed a patented and proprietary process for isolating the plant's active compound, which is then converted into a water-soluble material that can remain in suspension or can be consumed in tablet or powder form.

AC-11(r) has been shown to block the body's NF-kB pathway, the primary pathway for such autoimmune diseases as inflammatory bowel disease, arthritis, certain types of insulin dependency, lupus and other conditions.
