Crossfire War - TEHRAN WATCH: Middle East - Northeast Asia Theatre; Iran First Vice-President Arrives in Tokyo for Six Day Visit - Attempt to Resolve Differences
Night Watch: TOKYO - In an expression of extreme concern Tehran's First Vice-President Mohammad Reza-Bahonar arrived in Tokyo, Monday on a six-day visit, twice as long as the three day visit in February by Iran's then Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi. [

Kharrazi was sent by the Council of Guardians, to perhaps seek clarification of Tokyo's decision to modify its defense policy to make it more offensive. I suspect Kharrazi, and now Bahonar will be told, by the senior offcials he will meet, that Japan's like the rest of the industrialized world's, economic lifelines are at stake and they cannot allow Beijing to keep them from drilling for oil-gas in the East China Sea.
Tokyo may also state that Japan, after war with Beijing could, if need be, play a role in keeping the Persian Gulf open to the non-Islamic world, even if it means assisting Bangkok against Kula Lumpur and keeping trade routes with India open. Other Allied capitals will be involved in similar activity.
