Three Marines Die in IED, Small Arms Attacks During Operation Steel Curtain

Reports from Camp Fallujah say two marines died after an IED attack in New Ubaydi, during Operation Steel Curtain, Nov. 14. One marine died on the 14th and the other died of his wounds, the next day.

Both Marines were assigned to Regimental Combat Team 2, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward).

Also on the 14th, another Marine assigned to Regimental Combat Team 2, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), died of wounds received from small arms fire while conducting combat operations against the enemy in New Ubaydi, during Operation Steel Curtain.

The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
