Crossfire War - TEHRAN WATCH: Al Qaeda (Iran) Bombs 3 Hotels in Amman
By Willard Payne
Night Watch: AMMAN - Iran's Council of Guardians expressed their displeasure at Jordan's King Abdullah II lack of more support for the Jihad against the West. [Kuwait News Agency]
His Majesty has often, and very publicly stated his serious concern for the Palestinian situation but I assume he has done nothing to support the fight against the occupation of Iraq and he has often promoted increased business developments with the West.
Tehran's next target could be the impressive developments in Jordan's part of the Gulf of Aqaba, specifically the Aqaba Special Economic Zone. It is an impressive development, an ongoing project that attracts investments from around the world and is a threat to Tehran's attempt to control the Middle East economy. To the Council of Guardians Persian, imperial state of mind, this makes Amman far too independent and a portal for the West right in the heart of the Middle East.
Recently CrossfireWar.com mentioned that with Tehran establishing Al-Qaeda positions in the northern Sinai they are now in a position to strike the Suez Canal, central Egypt and economic centers in Jordan as a message to His Majesty, who had to cut short his trip to Kazakhstan when he was informed about the hotel explosions. The hotels cater to the international community: Radisson Sas Hotel, Hyatt Amman Hotel and Days Inn Hotel.
Other important development projects now at risk are the ones under the direction of Mawared National Resources and Development Corporation headed by Director General Akram Abu Hamdan. Their specialty is major urban sites and it includes one north of the capital Amman, Zarqa New Garden City Project: largest planned integrated urban project.
It is designed to be a comprehensive residential city with a vibrant center benefitting from commercial, cultural, entertainment and civic facilities and served by a modern infrastructure network.
It is now being targeted by Tehran (Al Qaeda).
