Press Conference Highlights Hablemos de Salud's Landmark 10th Anniversary
Rep. Robert Menendez and Dr. Elmer Huerta to Address Hispanic Healthcare
"Hablemos de Salud," the nation's longest
running Spanish-language medical television program, which delivers medical
news and health advice, launches its tenth season on November 26, 2005 on
MHz NETWORKS. The show focuses on changing lifestyles for the better and
helping Latinos understand how the health care system functions and how it
can help to better their lives and that of their families.
"Hablemos de Salud" is the product of a unique collaboration between health
care professionals, broadcasters and legislators to reach Latinos, one of
the most underserved communities in the Washington metropolitan area and
the United States.
WHAT:
A press conference to highlight the impact that public television can have
on underserved minority communities, helping them to understand, seek and
receive better access to health care.
