LAS VEGAS (EWORLDWIRE) Nov 1, 2005
Ken Owens made entertainment history in Las Vegas on Wednesday October 26, 2005 as being the first hypnotist to hypnotize a live lobster at a major Las Vegas resort. Owens was one of the featured performers at an entertainment expo held at the Golden Nugget resort. Since each performer only had six minutes to showcase their talent, Owens did not have enough time to induce the state of hypnosis in a person - so he chose to hypnotize the lobster.
Owens labeled this performance as a 'spoof' of his popular comedy stage hypnosis show called H'pnotix. Owens is an internationally known motivational speaker and stage hypnotist and is a featured speaker and performer all over the world.
Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state and has many applications in psychology, medicine and sports performance. Of course the two leading applications are weight loss and stop smoking programs. Owens' stage show takes a look at the fun side of hypnosis while still having a motivational twist and exploring the Power of The Mind. His favorite quote about human potential is by Dr. Albert Schweitzer, "The greatest discovery of any generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering the attitudes of their minds."
Hypnosis stage shows have a reputation for making people bark like dogs or quack like chickens. Owens' full length comedy show that uses volunteers from the audience, instead of a crustacean, has a Las Vegas theme and includes an Area 51 alien visitation and many more hilarious routines.
