Thomas Equipment Becomes Official Sponsor of 2008 Beijing Olympics

Thomas Authorized to Use the Olympic Seal and Logo on Its Equipment

Thomas Equipment Inc. ("Thomas") (OTC BB: TEQI) today announced that the official 2008 Beijing Olympic Committee honored Thomas with an invitation to become an official sponsor of the 2008 Olympics and participate in the official Olympic ceremonies. With great pride and enthusiasm, Clifford Rhee, Thomas CEO, today accepted the invitation. As a gesture of goodwill, Thomas will donate one of its skid loaders to the Olympic Committee for use in its preparation for the 2008 Olympics.

This honor is important to Thomas for two primary reasons: first, it will feature Thomas and its products to the worldwide Olympic audience; second, both Thomas and Hyundai Heavy Industries Ltd., its strategic OEM partner, are poised to supply equipment used by Chinese customers to build and prepare for the 2008 Olympics. It is anticipated that the Olympic preparations will accelerate rapidly after January 1, 2006.
