IEDs Kill 3 Soldiers in Two Separate Incidents

In the first incident in east Baghdad, two Task Force Baghdad Soldiers were killed Oct. 26 when their convoy struck an improvised explosive device.

Also on the 26th, LSA Anaconda, in Balad reported one 1st COSCOM Soldier died as a result of his wounds and four Soldiers were wounded as a result of an improvised explosive device and small arms fire attack while conducting a combat logistics patrol at about 11:15 a.m., near Ashraf, Iraq.

The Soldiers were taken to a Coalition Forces medical treatment facility.

The incidents are currently under investigation and the names of the Soldiers are being withheld pending next of kin notification.
