David Oliver Joins Tri-Valley Corporation Unit as Senior Geologist

David C. Oliver has joined Select Resources Corporation as a senior geologist, it was announced today by Dr. Harold J. Noyes, president. Select is the wholly owned mining subsidiary of Tri-Valley Corporation (AMEX: TIV).

A graduate in geology from the University of Minnesota, Mr. Oliver has a broad background in precious and base metal exploration and industrial minerals and aggregates in areas where Select is currently active or contemplating projects.

Mr. Oliver began his career with uranium activities with Western Nuclear, Inc. and later, Phelps Dodge Zeolites in Wyoming. For 12 years he was area geologist for American Copper and Nickel Company, Inc., based in Alaska as project manager for systematic gold and base metals exploration in Alaska, Montana, Wyoming, California and Arizona. In 1999 he joined Sealaska Corporation as vice president and general manager of Sea Cal LLC and Alaska Coastal Aggregates which included the Admiral Calder super high grade calcium carbonate deposit recently purchased by Select.

Oliver is relocating to Bakersfield, California to support the firm's calcium carbonate, basalt, cinder and industrial aggregates business as well as project/opportunity evaluation in precious and base metals and industrial minerals domestically and internationally.
